Who Are We?
The name Stellar comes from three distinct inspirations:

First, our logo features the Steller's jay - a striking bird native to Western Canada, easily recognized by its Vibrant blue body and black crest. Steller's jays belong to the corvid family alongside Ravens and Crows, and they share the same remarkable problem-solving abilities. At Stellar Appliance Repair, smart effective problem-solving is at the heart of everything we do.

Second, "Stellar" derives from the Latin stellaris, meaning "star." It reflects our mission to provide service that is truly out of this world.

Third, it captures the everyday, informal meaning of the word - to do a stellar job. We take pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship and reliable results on every single repair.
These are the core values that define who we are and how we serve our community everyday.
Originally from Hereford, England, Ben moved to Whistler in 2018 following years of gaining diverse experience across Australia and New Zealand.
Â
Ben began his career as a mechanical and manufacturing engineer in the oil and gas industry. Working with high value machinery in high pressure environments, he developed a sharp attention to detail and a commitment to precision. Later whilst managing equipment on rural Albertan and Australian properties, he learned to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues on the fly - developing the resourcefulness and creative problem solving skills needed to keep essential equipment running smoothly.
Â
To bring this engineering background to the local community, Ben completed specialized training in Appliance repair at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU). Today, he combines the rigorous technical training with hands on problem solving to deliver reliable, top tier appliance repair services to homeowners and property managers in the Whistler area.

When not working you will also find Ben, like many others, Riding mountain bikes, Skiing the resort or backcountry skiing!
